Al Mercatante, M.Ed.
Director
 Al Mercatante is a Career and Personal Performance Coach and a Licensed Professional Counselor. With over 25 years experience, Al has coached hundreds of adults and students to overcome obstacles and to focus on living the life they desire.

Prior to establishing his private practice in 1987, he served as the Executive Director of an ecumenical counseling agency for 11 years. In 1996, Al introduced The Highlands Program to Delaware. He is the regional director of this highly effective and successful educational, career and coaching consulting company, which has over 70 offices nationwide.

He has made his own life and career changes-- starting with engineering, then to theology, teaching and counseling. If The Highlands Program had been around 30 years ago, he says, "I would have had the direction and the confidence to pursue my present career at an earlier stage of life-- a career that more naturally and easily fits who I am as a whole person."
